STEP (School to Employment Program) is a SLES program created and delivered by Youth Connections
STEP will provide NDIS participants with the skills and knowledge to be ready for meaningful work, and plan a pathway to employment.
As a participant in STEP, you will develop the skills and confidence to move from school, build your vocational experience, and become a meaningful employee of your community STEP is a four day a week program, running for two years, during which participants will experience over 10 industries, such as Media, Automotive, Hospitality, Hair and Beauty, Administration, Construction and more.
The program involves work experience opportunities in the open job market to prepare you for work. These individualised activities all contribute to achieving the participants employment goals.
STEP is currently being delivered at Youth Connections Kariong andBroadmeadow.
